Video: Ukrainian drones attacked the Tyumen oil refinery in Russia

On Saturday, June 20, in Russia’s Tyumen Region, drones attempted an attack on the Tyumen Oil Refinery. Russian authorities stated that the facility sustained no damage, but local residents reported explosions, thick smoke over the plant, and the arrival of a large number of fire trucks.

Tyumen Region Governor Alexander Moor stated that the drone attack was allegedly repelled. According to him, the refinery’s grounds were not damaged, and the plant’s employees were evacuated.

“Emergency response specialists are working at the site where the debris fell,” Moor wrote on his Telegram channel.

At the same time, residents of the Antipino neighborhood, where the Tyumen Oil Refinery is located, reported at least two explosions and thick smoke rising over the plant’s grounds. Eyewitnesses also reported seeing at least ten fire trucks heading toward the refinery.

ASTRA analysts, after reviewing eyewitness video filmed near the “Antipino Neighborhood” bus stop, confirmed that thick smoke is indeed rising above the plant.

The Tyumen Oil Refinery is located approximately 2,000 kilometers from Ukrainian territory. Attacks by Ukrainian drones on facilities in Russia’s fuel and energy sector have become routine amid the full-scale war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.

On the night of June 20, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of Russian military facilities. Among the targets was a bridge near Henichesk, which the occupiers use to transport equipment and resupply their troops between occupied Crimea and the southern front.

In Taganrog, Russia, a power substation that supplied electricity to the “Atlant-Aero” defense enterprise was damaged. As a result, production lines involved in the manufacture of drones were disrupted.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fires broke out at a number of energy and infrastructure facilities following a nighttime attack. In particular, there are reports of fires at the Tavriya Thermal Power Plant and gas facilities in various regions of the peninsula.
