Video: Ukrainian drones struck Russian equipment in the rear near Donetsk

The Defence Forces of Ukraine continue to demonstrate the ability to strike military targets of the Russian occupiers at a significant distance from the front line.

A video of a successful attack by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles on equipment of the Russian army near temporarily occupied Donetsk has appeared online.

The strike was recorded deep in the enemy’s rear — approximately 50 kilometres from the current line of combat contact. Such a distance demonstrates the effective work of Ukrainian strike drones and their ability to operate far beyond the forward positions.

The target of the attack was two vehicles of the Russian army, which the occupiers used for logistical support of their units. The released footage shows precise hits by unmanned aerial vehicles, as a result of which the equipment sustained significant damage and was put out of operation.

Experts note that the effective operation of Ukrainian drones at such depth indicates the constant improvement of communication and navigation systems. These systems allow unmanned aerial vehicles to successfully bypass Russian electronic warfare systems.

Systematic strikes on logistics in the deep rear force Russian troops to change their supply schemes. Due to the threat of new attacks, the occupiers are forced to move warehouses, bases, and technical sites further and further away from the front line, which complicates the supply of their units on the front.

On March 7, 2026, the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck a Shahed launch site at Donetsk Airport using ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles.

It is recalled that Ukrainian intelligence officers stopped the Russian offensive on Zaporizhzhia.

The General Staff also confirmed precise strikes on Russian forces near Donetsk Airport.

It is recalled that in one day the Russian Federation lost 790 invaders and six air defence systems in the war against Ukraine.

The Defence Forces struck a space communications centre and enemy air defence facilities.

It is also recalled that powerful explosions were heard at the Belbek airfield in Crimea.

Drones also attacked the Ilsky oil refinery and Sevastopol.
