Video: Zelensky Visits Donetsk Region, Says Russia Preparing Spring Offensive
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian forces have not abandoned plans to continue the war in Donetsk and are preparing an offensive in spring. He made this remark in an address following his visit to the Donbas region.
According to the president, he visited Ukrainian troops in Donetsk and expressed gratitude to the soldiers holding the line there.
“Today — Donetsk, our land, our warriors. 28th Brigade, 100th, 24th Separate Mechanized, 36th Marine Brigade. I want to thank all of you — everyone defending our state,” Zelensky said.
He also mentioned the cities of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk, emphasizing that the battles in Donetsk remain a key front in the war.
“Russians are not abandoning the war here, in Donetsk, and are preparing a spring offensive. It is important that our positions remain strong. It is important that brigade support is sufficient,” he added.
Zelensky stressed that Ukrainian forces continue to defend the country with honor:
“The guys are holding the line with dignity. And this is how our country, our diplomacy, and our people will continue to stand,” he said.
He emphasized that Russian aggression must be stopped:
“Evil must be stopped. Ukrainians here in Donbas are doing exactly that. Thank you to everyone with Ukraine! Thank you to everyone fighting against Russia, defending life. Glory to our warriors! Glory to Ukraine!”
