Video: Ukrainian Armed Forces Repelled a Large-Scale Assault in the Lyman Area
Ukrainian defense forces have repelled a large-scale offensive by Russian troops in the Lyman area, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
This was reported by the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstislav the Brave.
The defensive operation was conducted jointly with units of the Third Army Corps and the 20th Unmanned Systems Brigade.
As a result of the battle, nearly 50 Russian soldiers were killed, and more than 20 pieces of equipment were destroyed or rendered inoperable.
It is noted that mining played a significant role in repelling the attack: a large portion of the occupiers’ armored vehicles was blown up by remotely planted mines, which came as a surprise to the advancing forces.
Ukrainian troops continue to hold their positions and destroy enemy forces in this sector.
There are hundreds of attacks on the front, with the heaviest fighting in the Pokrovsk and Kostyantynivkasectors.
Additionally, the occupiers shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 30 times: one person was wounded.
Russia attacked an ambulance brigade in the Kharkiv region with an FPV drone.
