Russian forces launched an attack on Hlukhiv this morning, destroying an educational institution
On the morning of May 13, Russian forces carried out another shelling of the city of Hlukhiv in the Sumy region.
As a result of the enemy attack, a local educational institution sustained significant damage, and a fire broke out after the building was hit.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Sumy Oblast reported that rescue workers quickly arrived at the scene to address the aftermath of the strike.
Emergency service specialists managed to quickly contain the fire and extinguish all hot spots in the damaged building.
“On the morning of May 13, the enemy struck the city of Hlukhiv again. This time, an educational institution was hit. State Emergency Service specialists promptly extinguished all sources of fire,” the agency’s press service noted.
According to preliminary information provided by rescue workers and local authorities, no civilians were injured as a result of the shelling. Fortunately, there were no people inside the building during the attack, which prevented any loss of life.
Investigative and operational teams continue to work at the site of the strike, documenting the consequences of the Russian occupiers’ war crime.
The extent of the material damage is currently being assessed by experts, as the building requires major repairs.
