The enemy attacked Ukraine with more than 100 drones on the night of 23 January
On the night of 23 January, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, using 101 attack drones, including new models of Shahed and “Gerbera”.
The attack was launched from several directions, including Kursk and Oryol. Ukrainian military forces, in particular aviation and air defence units, managed to destroy 76 out of 101 drones. However, despite the success of the air defence, some drones still reached their targets.
The attack caused extensive damage. In Kryvyi Rih, more than 10 people were injured as a result of the strikes, including children, and 18 buildings were damaged, 13 of them apartment blocks. The city of Chornomorsk was left without electricity due to the attacks.
On 22 January, Russian occupying forces carried out four strikes on Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia district. As a result of the attack, one person was killed and ten were injured, including eight women. Six of the injured are in hospital, where they are receiving medical care.
