The enemy increases pressure on Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, Ukrainian forces eliminate saboteurs
The enemy has intensified attempts to encircle Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad using so-called “ a pincer movement”, increasing pressure from the directions of Kotlyne and Rodynske.
Units of the 7th Air Assault Corps, together with other components of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, are conducting enhanced aerial reconnaissance and mining likely routes of enemy advance.
Russian forces are also attempting to move in small assault groups from the north-western part of Pokrovsk towards Hryshyne. When attempting to penetrate the outskirts of the settlement, Ukrainian defenders detect and eliminate the enemy.
In recent days, an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group that had infiltrated the area of farming enterprises north of Pokrovsk was neutralised. Over the past week, the Defence Forces wounded and eliminated 255 Russian troops, destroyed 19 vehicles and motorcycles, 29 UAV launch sites, 36 shelters and warehouses, and 575 strike UAVs.
In the Russian city of Ukhta (Komi Republic), located approximately 2,000 km from the border with Ukraine, explosions were heard. The Lukoil-Ukhtaneftepererabotka oil refinery came under attack.
It should be recalled that on the night of 12 February, Russia’s Volgograd region was the site of an attack on a military facility in the settlement of Kotluban.
