Enemy strikes critical infrastructure facility in Zhytomyr Region
Russian forces carried out a nighttime strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Zhytomyr Region.
This was reported by the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Bunechko.
“During the night, the enemy struck critical infrastructure facilities in Zhytomyr Region. Thanks to the professional actions of rescuers, several affected civilians were evacuated from the scene and transported by emergency crews to medical facilities,” Bunechko stated.
As a result of the attack, several people were injured, but thanks to the efforts of the rescuers, they were evacuated to hospitals.
Emergency Service personnel extinguished fires, and explosive ordnance disposal teams inspected the area for explosive devices. Restoration work is currently ongoing.
In the Zhytomyr and Korosten districts, a repeated alert was declared due to drone attacks on energy and transport infrastructure.
Four employees of Ukrzaliznytsia were injured in an accident on railway tracks; rescuers provided them with assistance.
On the night of December 22, Odesa was attacked again, resulting in damage to a critical infrastructure facility.
