Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine have risen: more than 1,500 invaders were killed in the past 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, on July 27, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,560 Russian soldiers. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated figures on Russian military losses as of July 28, 2026.
As of July 28, Russia has lost the following in the war against Ukraine:
- personnel—approximately 1,442,140 (+1,560) individuals;
- tanks – 12,226 (+1);
- armored combat vehicles – 25,038 (+6);
- artillery systems – 46,902 (+71);
- multiple launch rocket systems – 1,970 (+1);
- air defense systems – 1,519 (+0);
- aircraft – 439 (+0);
- helicopters – 354 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,054 (+16) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 431,310 (+1,755) units;
- cruise missiles – 4,950 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 34 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0) units;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 126,850 (+548) units;
- special equipment – 4,476 (+4) units

Russia carried out 57 attacks on the front line, with the heaviest fighting occurring in three sectors.
As a reminder, a man was killed in Kherson by an explosion of a “Pelyustka” anti-personnel mine.
The Main Intelligence Directorate has identified those responsible for the shelling of the ATB supermarket in Chernihiv.
