Zelenskyy warned that Russia is preparing a new large-scale attack
Russia is preparing a new large-scale attack on Ukraine, as evidenced by intelligence reports.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement in an address to the nation. The president noted that such actions are typical of Putin, as they are planned immediately after America’s Independence Day and ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara with the aim of causing harm and killing people.
In light of this threat, Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged citizens to stay safe and to heed air raid alerts. Separately, the head of state addressed international partners, emphasizing that any delay in decisions regarding the transfer of missiles for air defense systems and Patriot systems leads to the loss of lives and only encourages the enemy to continue fighting.
As a reminder, the Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 2. On that occasion, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—including air-, ground-, and sea-based missiles of various types—at Ukraine.
