Zelenskyy Responds to Russian Strike on Dnipro
The Russian Federation’s attacks on Ukrainian cities can only be stopped through concerted efforts and increased political and economic pressure from Ukraine and its international partners.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this on his official Telegram channel. The head of state’s message came as authorities were dealing with the massive aftermath of yet another enemy attack on the city of Dnipro.
As a result of a Russian drone strike in Dnipro, Branch No. 1 and a warehouse building of the “Nova Poshta” terminal were completely destroyed, and vehicles were damaged. About 70 rescuers from the State Emergency Service, 40 police officers, and nearly 30 pieces of specialized equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire and clear the debris. According to official data, there were no casualties during this attack, despite significant material damage and a building that was completely gutted by fire.
The President emphasized that to stop such terrorist attacks, adequate support for Ukraine’s defense and sustained pressure on the aggressor country are necessary. According to Zelenskyy, domestic “long-range sanctions,” restrictions from foreign partners, and all available forms of political influence on Russia must work together to achieve real security, as only systematic pressure can bring about a just peace.
