On the night of 26 January, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck infrastructure at the Slavyansk Eco oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. Other strategic enemy facilities were also hit.

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the statement, the refinery’s potential annual processing capacity exceeds 4 million tonnes of oil. The facility is part of Russia’s energy rear and is involved in supplying the aggressor’s armed forces.

Consequences

It was confirmed that strike UAVs hit the refinery’s territory and explosions were recorded in the target area. Preliminary information indicates that elements of the primary oil processing unit were damaged.

The extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

  • In addition, warehouses providing logistical support to occupying forces were struck in temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast (Donetsk city) and Zaporizhzhia Oblast (the village of Solodkovodne).

  • Furthermore, in order to weaken the enemy’s offensive capabilities, strikes were carried out on a UAV command post near Velyka Novosilka (temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast), as well as on concentrations of enemy personnel in the areas of Yunakivka (temporarily occupied Sumy Oblast) and Kolisnykivka (temporarily occupied Kharkiv Oblast). The number of killed and wounded occupiers is being determined.

The Defence Forces continue to take measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the Russian occupiers and to force Russia to end its armed aggression against Ukraine.
