The Armed Forces of Ukraine have eliminated the former head of the Barnaul Biathlon Federation
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have killed Russian occupier Andriy Ugarov, who voluntarily enlisted to fight against Ukraine in the fall of 2024 at the age of 58.
Ugarov had previously been involved in sports—from 2010 to 2014, he headed the Barnaul Biathlon Federation and organized Russian veterans’ championships in Barnaul.
According to Russian propaganda sources, he was killed on March 8 as a result of a strike on a mortar crew.
The occupier’s funeral is scheduled for March 28, 2026.
The day before, Ukrainian defenders eliminated Russian occupier Mykola Nikolaev, a former professional athlete from Togliatti.
Total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to March 21, 2026, in the war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,286,940 people. Over the past day, another 1,240 occupiers were eliminated.
