The Ukrainian Armed Forces killed a Russian biathlon championship medalist
The Ukrainian Defense Forces killed Russian occupier Konstantin Levin, who had been a medalist at the Russian Biathlon Championships before the war. He served as a scout in a special operations brigade of the Russian Armed Forces and was killed in Donetsk Oblast on August 20, 2025.
Konstantin Levin was born on July 5, 2002, in Khanty-Mansiysk. For about seven years, Kostya competed professionally in biathlon, was a member of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Yugra national team, and became a candidate for the title of Master of Sports. He was a winner and medalist in All-Russian competitions.
In 2019, at the Russian Summer Biathlon Championships for 18- to 19-year-old boys and girls, he won a silver medal in the cross-country relay. In March 2025, Levin signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and joined the criminal war against Ukraine.
The occupier chose the call sign “Fisher.” He served as a scout in a separate special-purpose brigade of the GRU Airborne Forces. On August 20, 2025, the invader Konstantin Levin was killed by Ukrainian defenders in the Donetsk region. His funeral took place in late December 2025.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Russia’s massive nighttime attack on Kyiv on July 6, during which the occupiers fired 68 missiles and deployed 351 attack drones.
During the morning shelling on July 6, Russian terrorists struck the DAO sorting terminal of the “Nova Poshta” company in Dnipro. The strike caused a fire on the premises, which rescue workers quickly extinguished.
The Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 2. On that occasion, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—including air-, ground-, and sea-based missiles of various types—at Ukraine.
