Ukrainian forces eliminate another 1,710 occupying troops in a day

The total combat losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine from 24 February 2022 to 18 March 2026 have reached approximately 1,282,570 personnel. Over the past 24 hours alone, a further 1,710 occupying troops were eliminated.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

According to updated data, the Russian army has also suffered significant equipment losses:

  • tanks – 11,786 (+3 in the past day)
  • armoured combat vehicles – 24,229 (+11)
  • artillery systems – 38,506 (+29)
  • multiple launch rocket systems – 1,688 (+0)
  • air defence systems – 1,333 (+0)
  • aircraft – 435 (+0)
  • helicopters – 349 (+0)
  • operational-tactical UAVs – 184,333 (+1,189)
  • cruise missiles – 4,468 (+0)
  • ships/boats – 33 (+0)
  • submarines – 2 (+0)
  • vehicles and fuel tankers – 83,974 (+230)
  • special equipment – 4,091 (+0)

The General Staff noted that the figures are being уточнені (clarified/updated).

It was also recalled that on 16 March and during the night of 17 March, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces carried out a series of strikes on key military targets of the Russian army. Among the targets hit were an air defence missile system, an area where a coastal missile system Bastion was concentrated, a communications hub, and military logistics facilities.

Ukrainian forces also struck drone depots and bases of occupying troops in three regions.

The total combat losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine since 24 February 2022 previously stood at approximately 1,277,620 personnel. Over the preceding day, Ukrainian defenders had eliminated a further 860 occupying troops.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces repelled 122 enemy attacks along the entire frontline. The most intense fighting was recorded in the Huliaipole and Kostiantynivka directions. The enemy used air strikes, kamikaze drones, and artillery, while Ukraine’s Defence Forces carried out systematic fire strikes against the occupying troops.
