Ukrainian forces intercept Russian orders to kill wounded soldiers

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have released an intercepted conversation in which Russian commanders allegedly give orders to kill wounded servicemen. The recording indicates a blatant violation of international humanitarian law by the Russian military.

The audio interception was published on Telegram by Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces.

“We obtained access to new enemy audio intercepts, where the law of the pack and terror prevails,” the Air Assault Forces stated.

Commanders are giving direct orders to “neutralise” (kill) their own soldiers if they are wounded. “The phrase ‘shoot him in the head’ has become an instruction for the occupiers,” the military added.

According to the interception, servicemen nicknamed “Sher” and “Kudrya” with broken legs are forced to crawl on their own, receiving no assistance. Attempting self-evacuation is considered treason, punishable by on-the-spot execution.

“They hate each other. For their commanders, it is easier to kill a soldier than to save him,” the military emphasised.

For context, Russia’s media regulator Roskomnadzor has demanded that a Berlin-based store, “Muravey,” remove a book about President Zelensky from sale. Additionally, Russia has refused to unblock Roblox despite the company’s attempts to negotiate concessions.
