UAF denies rumors of women’s mobilization
The Ukrainian Ground Forces (UGF) have denied reports of a supposed mobilization of women. Women may join the military only voluntarily, and registration in military records is possible only for those with medical or pharmaceutical education. All other claims are manipulations or fake news, the Ground Forces reported on Facebook.
In recent days, rumors about the mobilization of women in the UAF have spread in Ukrainian media and social networks. The Ground Forces categorically rejected these claims. “This information is baseless, manipulative, and used by the enemy to undermine mobilization processes and discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the statement said.
The command clarified that nothing has changed legally: women can serve only voluntarily. Military registration applies only to citizens with medical or pharmaceutical education. Errors in the “Oberig” system, which allowed some women to be accidentally entered, were caused by technical problems and old records from 2021. “At the same time, it is currently impossible to correct this information at the relevant TCC and SP due to technical limitations,” the Ground Forces explained.
The command has already contacted the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense with proposals to fix the gaps in the system. The issue remains under constant supervision, and all discrepancies are being analyzed.
“If you find incorrect data about yourself in the ICS ‘Oberig,’ please contact the Ground Forces hotline at 0 800 301 937,” the military urged. This clarification is intended to reassure citizens and emphasize that the UAF does not plan to forcibly mobilize women.

In the Kherson region, one person was killed and another 25 were injured over the past day due to Russian attacks. Kherson and dozens of settlements in the region were under fire.
