UAF withdraw from Siversk – General Staff
Heavy fighting continues in the Siversk area. Due to the enemy’s significant advantage in manpower and equipment, Ukrainian units withdrew from the settlement to preserve the lives of soldiers and maintain unit combat readiness.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian defenders exhausted the enemy, and every meter of the city was gained by the occupiers at a high cost. Although the invaders advanced due to numerical superiority and constant pressure from small assault groups, the city remains under Ukrainian fire control.
Ukrainian forces continue to strike the enemy, block their logistics, and prevent further advancement. The defenders are carrying out combat tasks on the Sloviansk direction and taking measures to reduce the enemy’s offensive potential.
The breakthrough of the border near Hrabovske village, Sumy Oblast, was caused by the irresponsible conduct of military personnel assigned to that sector. Events in Hrabovske, where on the night of December 20, 2025, Russian forces crossed the state border and forcibly removed over 50 Ukrainian civilians to Russia, show signs of a localized provocation.
