Ukraine’s Armed Forces eliminate 960 Russian troops and five air defence systems in the past 24 hours
The total combat losses of the Russian army from 24 February 2022 to 2 March 2026 in the full-scale war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,267,730 military personnel. In the past 24 hours alone, Ukraine’s Defence Forces eliminated another 960 troops.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
According to updated data, Russia has also lost:
- 11,713 (+4) tanks;
- 24,111 (+3) armoured combat vehicles;
- 37,795 (+74) artillery systems;
- 1,665 (+3) multiple launch rocket systems;
- 1,313 (+5) air defence systems;
- 435 (+0) aircraft;
- 348 (+0) helicopters;
- 153,169 (+1,810) operational-tactical-level UAVs;
- 4,384 (+0) cruise missiles;
- 29 (+0) ships and boats;
- 2 (+0) submarines;
- 80,757 (+247) motor vehicles and fuel tankers;
- 4,076 (+1) units of special equipment.
The General Staff noted that data on enemy losses continue to be clarified.
Ukrainian forces continue to repel offensive actions along various front-line directions, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment.
In February, Russian forces captured 126 square kilometres of Ukrainian territory. This is half the amount recorded in January and the lowest figure since July 2024.
It is recalled that on the night of 1 March, Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck radar stations of the S-300 air defence missile system, logistics facilities, and areas of enemy manpower concentration in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Total combat losses of Russian troops in manpower from 24 February 2022 to 1 March 2026 reached approximately 1,266,770 personnel. In the previous 24 hours, another 870 occupiers were eliminated.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine’s Defence Forces have eliminated around 1,265,900 Russian military personnel, including 770 in the previous 24 hours. Air defence shot down almost all the drones with which Russia attacked Ukraine.
