Fedorov: Ukrainian ballistics could change the course of the war and Ukraine's status in the world
The use of domestically produced ballistic weapons has the potential to influence the course of the Russian-Ukrainian war and strengthen Ukraine’s position on the international stage. According to Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, funding for the development of such systems has already been allocated.
“Ukrainian ballistic weapons will change everything in this war. They will fundamentally change Ukraine’s status in the world. We’ve already changed it many times—this is a whole different league. That’s why, on the one hand, I don’t want to raise expectations too high, and on the other, I don’t want to give our enemy any clues. But I can only quote our president here: Ukrainian ballistic missiles will be developed, and they will strike Russia,” Fedorov said.
He also assured that Ukraine has the funding for ballistic missile production.
“There is absolutely no financial problem with the development of Ukrainian ballistic missiles,” the minister stated in an interview with TSN.
The Ukrainian manufacturer Fire Point, known for developing the “Flamingo” cruise missile, has successfully tested the FP-7 ballistic missile.
The Ukrainian defense company Fire Point is finalizing preparations to adopt the new FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles into service.
