The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated another 1,170 invaders over the past 24 hours
Over the past 24 hours, on May 16, the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed and wounded 1,170 Russian occupiers. The enemy’s total losses in the war now stand at 1,348,790 personnel.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy’s total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to May 17, 2026, are estimated at:
- personnel – approximately 1,348,790 (+1,170) people;
- tanks – 11,938 (+1) units;
- armored combat vehicles – 24,578 (+4);
- artillery systems – 42,215 (+82);
- MLRS – 1,790 (+2) units;
- air defense systems – 1,384 (+3);
- aircraft – 436 (+1);
- ground-based robotic systems – 1,410 (+13) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 295,454 (+2,131) units;
- cruise missiles – 4,628 (+2) units;
- Vehicles and tankers – 97,118 (+325) units;
- specialized equipment – 4,196 (+5) units.
Prior to this, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated another 1,020 Russian troops on the front lines over the past 24 hours.
The occupiers complain that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using drones to cut off the land corridor to Crimea.
