The Russian Foreign Ministry will summon the Swedish ambassador over a simulated drone attack in Stockholm

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs plans to summon Sweden’s ambassador to Moscow, Kristina Johansson. This was announced by Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, in connection with a recent incident involving drones on the grounds of the diplomatic mission.

Sergey Belyaev, the Russian ambassador to Sweden, said that Moscow has already sent an official note of protest to the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to him, the incident occurred at night when two drones entered the premises of the diplomatic mission. 

One of the drones dropped a container of red paint, while the other crashed directly near the embassy building with a model of a homemade explosive device attached to it. The head of the Russian diplomatic mission described the incident as a planned simulation of an attack on a diplomatic mission.
