Meeting between Putin and Witkoff scheduled for 2 December
According to official Kremlin sources, Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff on the afternoon of 2 December.
Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that footage of the start of the talks will be released, but any official statements are premature at this stage.
He also emphasized that the Kremlin does not plan to discuss the details of the meeting through the media in order to avoid jeopardizing the process.
US Special Envoy Witkoff is scheduled to fly to Moscow today. He has also reportedly provided Putin with advice on how to discuss Ukraine with former US President Donald Trump.
