185 $TRUMP holders invited to gala evening with President Trump — The Hill

The company managing the $TRUMP memecoin has announced an “exclusive” gala evening for the 185 largest token holders in the United States. The event is planned for November 22 at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington; President Donald Trump is expected to address the guests, The Hill reports.

Participation requirements

To qualify, a token holder must rank above 186th place when the selection period ends on November 12. The memecoin’s website states that a participant’s score will increase depending on how long they hold $TRUMP. At the same time, if a user sells all their tokens, they are removed from all active rankings.

The event description refers to an evening featuring Trump and three “legends,” whose names are to be announced before the event. Participants are also promised a private meeting with one of these “legends.” The organizers separately noted that there will be no private meetings with the president for attendees.

The 29 participants who qualify with the highest scores will be able to attend a VIP reception featuring the president and one of the “legends.” The top four participants are promised an 18-karat gold TRUMP watch. A note in the terms also states that gifts will not be accepted.

Previous event and the SEC’s position

In 2025, Trump already held a similar event at his golf club for more than 200 of the largest investors in the memecoin. At that time, the 25 holders with the highest scores were offered a tour of the White House.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission defines memecoins as crypto assets purchased for entertainment, social interaction, and cultural purposes, whose value primarily depends on demand and speculation. Democratic senators Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal called $TRUMP a “rug pull” and asked the SEC to examine the president’s ties to the token. In February, the SEC clarified that memecoins are not securities and that it will consider potential legal action separately in each case.
