airBaltic to cancel 11 routes from Tallinn in summer 2027
Latvian airline airBaltic will discontinue 11 direct flights from Tallinn Airport in the 2027 summer season. The number of the carrier’s direct routes from Estonia’s capital will decrease from 24 to 13, ERR News reports.
Which flights will be discontinued
airBaltic will no longer fly from Tallinn to Athens, Hamburg, Tirana, Billund, Burgas, Copenhagen, Malta, Oslo, Palma de Mallorca, Rhodes and Split. The summer schedule will be in effect from late March to late October 2027.
The company said it had developed the schedule in line with its updated business plan. The carrier will focus its operations on markets with the highest demand and revenue potential, serving business and leisure passengers.
Routes that will remain
During the summer season, airBaltic will operate flights from Tallinn to Riga up to five times a day, Amsterdam twice a day, Vilnius ten times a week, and Paris and Munich five times a week. Berlin and Brussels will also remain in the schedule with four flights a week, while Malaga, London Gatwick Airport and Vienna will have three flights a week.

The airline will fly to Barcelona, Heraklion and Nice twice a week.
Alternatives for passengers
Tallinn Airport Management Board member Eero Pärgmäe noted that not all destinations being dropped by airBaltic will disappear from the airport’s offering. According to him, Norwegian offers flights to Oslo, SAS to Copenhagen, and Wizz Air will continue serving the route to Tirana. Negotiations with airlines regarding the 2027 summer season are still ongoing.
Pärgmäe said that passengers on routes airBaltic will cancel in 2027 account for only 4% of Tallinn Airport’s annual passenger traffic, as these are mainly seasonal flights with low frequency. The airport is currently served by 16 scheduled airlines, in addition to charter carriers.
