Albanese said he should not have participated in the “Bush Deep” podcast
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said he should not have appeared on the comedy podcast “Bush Deep,” an episode of which caused a stir in the media. He made the remarks in an interview with ABC’s 7.30 program, according to The Guardian World.
Last month, Albanese said on the podcast that Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi had offered him Japanese royal melons. According to the publication, while telling this story, he gestured toward his chest and said that she had brought two melons.

Podcast host Nikki Osborne then joked, comparing Takaichi to Pamela Anderson. The episode caused a stir in some Australian media outlets due to its possible sexual undertones. Albanese later apologized for certain parts of the podcast.
When asked what lessons he had learned from the situation, the prime minister said he needs to do better every day. He also admitted that if he could go back in time, he wouldn’t have agreed to appear on *Bush Deep*, calling it a mistake.
