Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks in the United States of America on September 11, 2001. The head of the Foreign Ministry expressed his support for the American people and the families of the 2,977 victims, including Ukrainians, on the 25th anniversary of the tragedy.
In his statement, the diplomat paid tribute to the courage of those who heroically rescued people from the World Trade Center, including Ivan Skala, a police officer and paramedic of Ukrainian descent.
Sybiga noted that, in the face of daily attacks by Russia, Ukraine understands the importance of ensuring that “terror is always defeated and life is reliably protected,” emphasizing the shared responsibility of Ukraine, the United States, and all free nations in combating this phenomenon.
