Investigators’ version
Investigators also assume that a second drone may have collided with a DHL cargo plane shortly after the airport was temporarily closed. Security sources cited by German media suspect possible involvement by Russian intelligence services.
The Russian Federation, an aggressor state, denied accusations of involvement in the alleged attack. Leipzig/Halle Airport is one of Germany’s most important cargo airports and also serves as a military logistics hub.
