Denmark summoned the Russian ambassador over an incident involving a frigate and a military helicopter

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador following an incident involving a Russian frigate that fired two signal flares in the direction of a Danish military helicopter.

The head of the Danish Foreign Ministry, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, called the Russian warship’s actions “absolutely unacceptable.”

“Therefore, the Russian ambassador has been summoned for a discussion regarding this incident,” Rasmussen emphasized.

On Monday, a Russian frigate fired two signal flares toward a Danish military helicopter.

The incident prompted a response from Danish authorities. Danish Defense Minister Jeppe Brøus convened a briefing with all parliamentary spokespeople on defense issues to discuss the situation involving the Russian frigate.

The Danish side considers the Russian ship’s actions a serious incident and has already summoned the Russian ambassador to provide an explanation.

This is stated in a press release from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Russian ambassador in Copenhagen claimed that it was a Danish military helicopter that allegedly “provoked” the Russian frigate with its maneuvers.

Earlier, Russia attacked Izyum with KAB bombs; among the victims was a two-month-old infant.

On September 10, in the Svyatoshynsky district of Kyiv, a drone crashed in an open area in a forest near a shopping center. According to preliminary reports, there was no fire and no casualties.

In the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, an enemy drone struck the roof of a four-story business center. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to investigate the circumstances and address the aftermath of the incident.
