Knesset member Gotliv to run with Otzma Yehudit — Jerusalem Post
Likud Knesset member Tally Gotliv will be able to run for the 26th Knesset as part of National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit party. Likud announced the relevant agreement on Thursday, the Jerusalem Post reports.
Terms of the agreement
Likud said in a statement that Gotliv would not be considered to have left the faction. At the same time, until the elections to the 26th Knesset, she must observe Likud faction discipline during votes in the current, 25th Knesset.
The agreement allows Gotliv to run with Otzma Yehudit in the next elections without formally leaving the Likud faction in the current parliamentary term. According to the publication, in Israel, being recognized as having left a faction may result in political and financial sanctions, including the loss of the right to run in the next elections.

Ben-Gvir’s reaction
Ben-Gvir welcomed Gotliv to his party and called her a “true fighter” against injustice, the “deep state,” and those who, he said, persecuted the prime minister. He said he was happy about her joining the “family of fighters.”
Gotliv’s future in Likud came into question after the party’s primaries, in which she placed 20th on the electoral list. At the time, the Knesset member said she would consider an offer from Otzma Yehudit if it were serious, while stressing her loyalty to Likud and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Gotliv also believed that she had been deliberately moved lower on the list and asked Netanyahu to return her to the 12th position. It was previously reported that she could receive a place in the top five of the Otzma Yehudit list, the full version of which the party is expected to publish next week.
