CIA Director Arrives Secretly in Moscow on a Military Plane — CBS
John Ratcliffe, Director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, arrived in Moscow aboard a U.S. Boeing C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft.
According to the report, the CIA director is scheduled to hold meetings in the Russian capital. There has been no official confirmation of the visit from the CIA, the U.S. presidential administration, or the Russian side at this time.
At the same time, data from Flightradar24 confirms the arrival of the U.S. military aircraft in Moscow. A Boeing C-17 with the call sign RCH4555 departed from Riga on August 25 and landed at Vnukovo Airport.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that he had no information about the arrival of the U.S. military aircraft and did not confirm any possible meetings between representatives of the Donald Trump administration and the Russian side this week.
Retcliffe’s possible visit comes amid Washington’s efforts to intensify diplomatic contacts with Moscow regarding the war against Ukraine. Details of his potential meetings are currently unknown.
