Durov released an AI-generated chanson about VPNs under the pseudonym Durikovich
Telegram founder Pavel Durov unexpectedly unveiled a chanson-style song created using artificial intelligence.
The song, titled “My Own Live Internet,” is dedicated to the fight for digital freedom and ways to bypass network restrictions.
The businessman admitted that music has always been his passion, and he decided to return to it on a new technological level.
“In the 1990s, I loved creating my own music tracks in programs like FruityLoops. Now I’ve revived that hobby using modern tools,” Durov told his audience.
For his musical endeavors, the founder of Telegram chose the ironic stage name Durikovich.
He also promised that this track is just the beginning, and new compositions generated by neural networks will appear on his Telegram channel in the future.
The lyrics of Durikovich’s first song contain direct references to current issues of censorship and the use of VPN services.
In particular, the song includes the lines: “Where they blocked the entrance, we found our way around. In the stairwell, we’re talking about VPNs. The kid, the old lady, the neighbor—no one’s afraid anymore.”
The song also calls for resilience in the face of the authorities’ attempts to restrict access to information.
“Let their paper fears be locked away behind locks and bolts. The people hold a fragile bridge of words in their hands. We will pass through, we will pass through every ban. We will find, we will find our living internet,” sings the AI voice.
The song concludes with a life-affirming statement about the impossibility of completely isolating the network: “The boy knows, I know, the old woman knows the way. We cannot be shut down forever; we cannot be turned back.”
