The European Commission is preparing sanctions against illegal Israeli settlements – Politico
The European Commission is proposing new measures to reduce imports from illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Possible solutions include import licensing, additional tariffs, or a complete ban on the import of such goods.
The document was prepared at the request of EU diplomat Kaja Kallas following a meeting with foreign ministers in Luxembourg. The aim of tightening controls is to reduce the volume of imports from the settlements without the need to adopt new EU legal instruments. At the same time, some EU officials consider the proposed steps to be a symbolic and belated measure.

The Council of the European Union has adopted additional restrictive measures against four organizations and three individuals due to the expansion of settlements in the West Bank and actions against the Palestinian population. The decision targets entities that contribute to destabilization and the violation of Palestinians’ rights in the region.
The United Kingdom, together with its international partners, has imposed sanctions on organizations and individuals suspected of supporting violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinian communities in the West Bank. The restrictions apply to financial institutions, companies, and individual members of the network, whose assets will be frozen.
