A female climber died in the Romanian Carpathians; three others were injured
A tragedy occurred in the Romanian Carpathians during a climbing expedition. In the Bucegi Mountains, four climbers fell from a height of approximately 10 meters after their safety rope snapped.
The incident occurred in a remote area near the town of Bușten. Mountain rescue teams and helicopters were deployed to rescue the victims.
As a result of the fall, one woman died at the scene. The other three members of the group, who were conscious, were evacuated to Bușten for medical treatment.
According to Prahova County Prefect Daniel Nicodim, an instructor was with the group and, following the accident, provided first aid to the victims and called emergency services.
