The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded 228 combat engagements on the front lines over the past 24 hours

Over the past 24 hours, on June 15, 228 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines.

The Russian army continues to exert active pressure on most fronts, deploying a significant number of aircraft, artillery, and drones.

Over the past 24 hours, “the enemy launched two missile strikes, using 74 missiles, and carried out 82 airstrikes, dropping 226 guided bombs.”

In addition, the Russians deployed 9,297 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,726 shelling attacks, including 49 from multiple launch rocket systems.

In response, the Ukrainian Air Force, missile forces, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces delivered powerful strikes against the occupiers’ rear areas. Our troops “struck six areas where Russian forces were concentrated and six UAV command posts.”

The most tense situation currently persists in the Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Huliaipole sectors, where the invaders carried out the largest number of assaults.

In the Lyman sector, the Russians attempted to breach the defenses 23 times, attacking in the areas of Zarichne, Lyman, Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Dibrova, Novomykhailivka, Novoyegorivka, Ozerny, and Yampil.

Meanwhile, in the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 assaults by the Russian army toward Dobropillia, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Zatyshka, Shevchenko, Mirne, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Muravka, and Novopavlivka.

The enemy was also highly active in the Huliaipole sector, where the invaders carried out 22 attacks toward Zlagoda, Dobropillia, Radisne, Rivnopillia, Vozdvizhivka, Huliaipole, Dolynka, Verkhnia Tersa, Ternuvate, Shyroke, and Charivne.

In the Sloviansk and Kostyantynivka sectors, Ukrainian troops repelled 12 enemy attacks each. In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors, the Russian Federation’s army carried out 56 shelling attacks, one of which involved multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and three enemy assault operations were recorded.

In the Kupiansk, Oleksandrivka, and Orikhiv sectors, the Defense Forces successfully repelled more than a dozen additional attempts by the invaders to advance.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian occupiers did not conduct offensive operations, and in the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of Russian offensive groupings were detected.

This is stated in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the situation as of 8:00 a.m. on June 16.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will pay 100,000 hryvnias for each captured Russian soldier

Ukrainian military officers will not be subject to discharge from the army during the demobilization of enlisted personnel scheduled for the end of 2026 due to the critical importance of their role in troop command.

A digital mechanism for the return of military personnel after unauthorized absence from their units has been launched in Ukraine via the “Army+” app, which allows them to complete the procedure without unnecessary bureaucracy and immediately select a new unit. The Ministry of Defense says the system is intended to expedite the return of motivated soldiers to the most effective units of the Defense Forces.

Zelenskyy announced an increase in pay for military personnel: infantrymen will receive 300,000 UAH.
