The guitar in question is an Epiphone EJ-200 acoustic guitar, which Gallagher used during the recording of the band’s second album, “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”. The album was released in 1995 and sold over 22 million copies.

The album also included the songs “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Some Might Say,” which became some of the most famous in the band’s repertoire.

The auction was conducted by Sotheby’s. Prior to the auction, the guitar was estimated at approximately $80,000, but its value increased during the sale.

In addition, the handwritten lyrics to “Don’t Look Back in Anger” were sold at the auction for $38,400.
