Turkey's Foreign Minister Will Meet with Putin in Kazan
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the evening of June 17 in Kazan. The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations and the international situation.
“Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of his visit to Russia. The meeting will take place today in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan,” reports Türkiye.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. local time (the same as in Kyiv). The publication notes that the Russia-ASEAN summit is taking place in Kazan on June 17–18.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian president met with Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit, according to Reuters.
Zelenskyy proposed to Putin that they meet during the G7 summit.
Turkey is ready to continue mediating negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, Fidan said.
