U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hagset claimed that former President Joe Biden had allegedly depleted the country’s weapons stockpiles by sending significant amounts of aid to Ukraine.
He made the remarks during a briefing on Thursday, March 19, according to CNN.
Hagset expressed concern that the U.S. is depleting its stockpiles and sought to contrast the priorities of the current administration of U.S. President Donald Trump with the aid provided to Ukraine by the previous Biden administration.
"We are also still dealing with the situation created by Joe Biden, namely the depletion of these stockpiles and their diversion not to our own armed forces, but to Ukraine," he said.
He believes that it is now better for the U.S. to “use this ammunition in its own interests.”
Additionally, the Pentagon chief announced a large-scale strike against Iran.
During a campaign rally in Hebron, Kentucky, U.S. President Donald Trump shared behind-the-scenes details of the military campaign planning.
Recall that Trump stated that the war with Iran could end soon.
Trump also warned Iran of “unprecedented consequences” for mining the Strait of Hormuz.
