The chairman of NATO's Military Committee stated that the Alliance is caught between a state of war and a state of peace

Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, stated that the current security situation places the Alliance in a limbo between peace and war.

He made these remarks following a meeting of NATO chiefs of staff in Brussels, according to The Guardian.

“We are not at war, but we are not at peace either,” Dragone emphasized.

According to him, NATO member states must significantly accelerate the buildup of their defense capabilities, and the pace of supplying and deploying deterrence and defense assets needs to be drastically increased.

The admiral also called for a more equitable distribution of the defense burden within the Alliance.

He expressed hope that the political leaders of member states will adopt concrete decisions to strengthen collective security at the July NATO summit.

Belarus continues to build infrastructure facilities deep within its territory and is not moving them closer to the Ukrainian border. At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that Russia may use these facilities in the future to redeploy additional forces and assets.

Journalists have established that Belarus continues to play a significant role in supporting the Russian military-industrial complex by supplying chassis, electronics, and other key components for Russian military equipment. The value of these supplies in recent years has already reached billions of dollars.
