Turnout in Russian State Duma elections approached 57% — Anadolu Agency
In Russia, an aggressor state, three days of voting in elections to the 450-seat State Duma have ended. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, an aggressor state, turnout approached 57%, and vote counting is ongoing. More than 111 million voters were eligible to take part in the elections.
As Anadolu Agency reports, voting lasted from Friday to Sunday and combined polling station operations with remote electronic voting. Preliminary turnout exceeded the figure for the 2021 State Duma elections, when it stood at 51.72%.
Allocation of seats
The final allocation of the 450 parliamentary seats will be determined after votes are counted both from party lists and in single-member constituencies. Under the mixed electoral system, 225 deputies are elected through federal party lists. To enter the State Duma, a party must overcome the five-percent threshold.
Another 225 seats are contested in single-member constituencies. Ten parties took part in voting on federal lists, including five parliamentary parties: United Russia, the Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, A Just Russia and New People. The Yabloko party was not represented on the federal ballot, but its candidates ran in single-member constituencies.

Claims of cyberattacks
Chair of Russia's Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova said that a large-scale cyberattack on electoral infrastructure took place during the voting. According to her, more than 100 million potentially dangerous attempts to affect resources were detected and blocked, including the commission's websites, the voting portal and the Gosuslugi public services platform.
Pamfilova claims that the cyberattacks did not achieve their goal and that attempts to find vulnerabilities in the voting system were also detected, for which protective filters were used. She also claimed there were signs of Ukraine's involvement in attempts to interfere with telecommunications infrastructure and said that a representative of one of the parties attempted to introduce malicious software into Moscow's remote voting system.
Voting was also held in territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia. Kyiv rejects the holding of Russian elections there, and some Western governments condemned this move.
