Iran has demonstrated its ability to strike London and Paris with missiles
The Iranian regime has launched ballistic missiles with a range capable of reaching Western European capitals, including London, Paris, and Berlin.
According to The Times on March 22, 2026, citing intelligence sources, two missiles were aimed at the British military base Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that the Iranian missiles traveled a distance of approximately 4,000 kilometers, an unprecedented feat for Tehran’s arsenal and a direct threat to all of Europe.
The launches were a response to the UK’s decision to allow the US to use its bases for strikes against Iranian targets that threaten shipping. Although one missile was intercepted by a U.S. ship and another fell into the ocean, diplomats view this action as a warning signal to European allies of Israel and the U.S. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has already stated that Washington’s support endangers the lives of British citizens, while analysts warn of the Iranian leadership’s lack of restraint regarding the use of its ballistic capabilities.
Meanwhile, Britain has refused to allow the U.S. to use bases in Cyprus.
The U.S. announced a strike on Iran’s surveillance systems.
