Trump Threatened Iran Following Statements About Its Nuclear Program

U.S. President Donald Trump reacted strongly to statements by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian regarding the continuation of uranium enrichment and threatened Tehran with serious consequences.

According to Trump, the Iranian leader should “watch his language” and “come to his senses,” or else the United States may resort to more decisive action.

The U.S. president also stated that the United States could establish control over the Strait of Hormuz and receive a share of the profits from oil shipments through this strategic route.

In addition, Trump warned the Iranian authorities of the consequences of a possible blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

“If they close the strait, they won’t have a country,” the Fox News anchor quoted the president as saying.

Trump emphasized that the memorandum signed between the U.S. and Iran is only a temporary measure and does not signify a final settlement between the parties.

On June 20, Donald Trump announced the possibility of imposing a fee on commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz following the agreement with Iran.

Earlier, Trump stated that Iran would not receive any money under the new agreement.

Iran has proven to be a tough nut to crack for Washington, according to the director of the Center for the Study of Contemporary Iran.

Trump called the deal with Iran an unconditional surrender.
