Iran has already fired nearly 30 missiles and drones at the UAE today
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the United Arab Emirates came under another massive attack from Iran.
National air defense systems successfully intercepted four ballistic missiles and 25 attack drones, preventing widespread destruction across the country.
This was officially reported by the UAE Ministry of Defense on social media platform X.
The military agency emphasized that Tehran’s aggressive actions are becoming systematic, forcing the country to keep its air defense forces on full combat alert at all times.
Since the beginning of the period that Abu Dhabi officials call “blatant Iranian aggression,” an unprecedented number of airspace violations have been recorded.
In total, surveillance systems detected 1,773 drones, 345 ballistic missiles, and 15 cruise missiles launched toward the Emirates.
“On March 22, 2026, UAE air defense systems intercepted 4 ballistic missiles and 25 drones launched from Iran,” the defense ministry said in a statement.
Despite the high effectiveness of the interception, the attacks have already resulted in casualties.
Two military personnel and six civilians were killed as a result of the hostile shelling.
The total number of wounded has reached 160, including those with injuries ranging from minor to extremely severe.
As a reminder, the Iraqi capital was attacked by drones, with hotels and energy facilities hit.
The U.S. also struck Iran’s underground facilities with the latest bunker-busting bombs.
