Iran restores Taleghan 2 facility after strikes — Jerusalem Post
New satellite imagery indicates that Iran is restoring the Taleghan 2 facility at the Parchin military complex, about 30 kilometers southeast of Tehran. As The Jerusalem Post reports, the Institute for Science and International Security reached this conclusion based on imagery from Vantor Technologies.
Signs of reconstruction
According to the institute's assessment, the imagery shows activity at the construction site, including dump trucks, bulldozers, concrete pumps, concrete mixers and cranes. Taleghan 2 is a fortified underground facility linked to nuclear bomb testing under Iran's AMAD program.
Analysts also noted a tarp installed over the structure. According to the institute, it may be an attempt to conceal work to restore the facility from satellite or aerial surveillance. The institute said repair and restoration work began in June.

Protection of the structure
According to the institute, the first stage of reconstruction involved repairing breaches caused by the use of heavy bombs against fortified targets and installing concrete covers over them. Iran also likely created new concrete reinforcement on the right side of the structure. Analysts assess that it may provide additional protection from airstrikes.
According to the publication, Taleghan 2 was destroyed as a result of Israeli strikes in October 2024. Partial restoration of the facility began in May 2025, but in March 2026 Israel struck it again during Operation Roaring Lion. The institute noted that the purpose of further reconstruction of the facility remains unclear.
