Brigadier General Masoud Jafari, deputy commander of the Iranian Air Force, stated that during the strikes on U.S. military bases, the Iranian Air Force did not use GPS or inertial navigation, relying solely on paper maps.
According to him, the absence of navigation and radio signals worked to their advantage, and the pilots’ surprise and determination enabled them to carry out their combat missions.
