Iran has retained thousands of missiles and drones following massive U.S. strikes — BI

Despite weeks of intense bombing as part of Operation "Epic Fury," Iran's armed forces have managed to preserve a significant portion of their offensive capabilities.

This is reported by Business Insider.

According to U.S. intelligence, Tehran still possesses thousands of ballistic missiles and strike drones hidden in deep underground bunkers.

Lieutenant General James Adams, Director of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, confirmed the resilience of Iran’s arsenal during a speech to Congress.

He noted that allies struck hundreds of strategic targets, but Iran “retains thousands” of high-precision weapons for unilateral use.

According to a Pentagon report, during the active phase of the operation, more than 450 ballistic missile silos and approximately 800 UAV storage facilities were destroyed.

In addition, the industrial base responsible for the production of mobile launchers was virtually completely eliminated.

However, satellite data indicates that Iranian leadership was prepared for large-scale airstrikes, having dispersed its stockpiles across protected underground complexes.

Currently, during a fragile ceasefire, the Iranian military has begun actively retrieving reserves to restore combat readiness.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hagseth reported renewed activity at bases that had previously been attacked.

He noted that satellite imagery shows intense excavation work as the Iranians attempt to literally dig up the remains of missile systems for potential use.

Iran officially refused a second round of negotiations with the U.S.

Iran rejected Trump’s claims about transferring uranium to the U.S. and accused him of manipulation

The U.S. and Iran are negotiating a potential deal that would involve exchanging enriched uranium for the unfreezing of approximately $20 billion in Iranian assets. Washington’s primary goal in the negotiations is to prevent Iran from accessing significant stockpiles of enriched uranium and to reduce nuclear risks.

U.S. President Donald Trump also announced progress in negotiations with Iran, under which Washington would allegedly receive all of Tehran’s enriched uranium without any financial payments.

Additionally, Israel agreed to a 10-day ceasefire with Lebanon and announced the start of a move toward a diplomatic settlement; however, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that the war against Hezbollah is not yet over and military operations will continue.
