Israeli military raids Palestinian journalist's home in Jenin
Israeli military forces raided the home of Palestinian journalist Ali al-Samudi in Jenin in the occupied West Bank of the Jordan River in Palestine on Saturday. According to local sources, during the operation, soldiers beat his son and gave the journalist one hour to surrender.
The journalist was not at home
The 59-year-old al-Samudi was not at home during the raid. It is unknown whether he will comply with the military's demand. Anadolu Agency reported the incident.
On April 30, the journalist was released after a year of administrative detention in Israel. After his release, he reported significant weight loss due to a lack of food and accused the Israeli prison administration of ill-treatment, torture, and deprivation of basic rights.

Detention of media workers
On Thursday, Israeli forces detained Palestinian journalists Sabri Musa Jibril and Muath Ammarna following raids on their homes in Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
The Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate said it documented 84 violations against media workers by Israeli forces and occupiers in August. The list included the death of one journalist in prison, the shooting of another journalist, attacks on camera crews, obstruction of media work, arrests and detentions, as well as attacks on journalists' equipment.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Society, more than 9,400 Palestinians are held in Israeli prisons, including 370 children and 92 women. Human rights groups have reported cases of torture and inadequate medical care for prisoners.
