China has imposed trade sanctions against the United States
China’s Ministry of Commerce has tightened controls on drone exports to the U.S. and imposed sanctions on six American companies in response to new technology restrictions imposed by Washington. Among the sanctioned firms are Applied DNA Sciences, Stratum Reservoir, and Compliance Testing.
The countermeasures were prompted by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission’s decision to ban the use of certain Chinese robots and power inverters, as well as the addition of more than forty Chinese companies to the U.S. sanctions list on charges of using forced labor. Beijing stated that these actions violate the agreements between President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping and harm the country’s legitimate interests.
China will also conduct a national foreign trade investigation into imported office equipment for printing and document processing that runs on imported software. From now on, sales of drones, key components, and related technologies to the U.S. will be permitted only after individual review of each application.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced a new package of sanctions against companies and individuals who assisted the operations of the Iranian airline Mahan Air. Among those subject to the restrictions is the Russian company Air Cargo Pro Limited.
China has denied reports that it is allegedly preparing to transfer hundreds of man-portable air defense systems to Iran. Beijing stated that reports of a possible arms shipment are false and that China allegedly seeks only to facilitate the resolution of conflicts.
