On August 24, the Coalition of the Willing will discuss continued support for Ukraine
On Monday, August 24, the leaders of the member states of the “coalition of the willing” will hold a meeting dedicated to continued support for Ukraine. The meeting will take place on Ukraine’s Independence Day.
The leaders of the “coalition of the willing” will convene on August 24, though details of the agenda and the format of the meeting have not yet been disclosed.
At the same time, it is known that NATO will be represented at the meeting by Deputy Secretary General Radmila Šekerinská. She will join the meeting remotely via videoconference.
The meeting will be co-chaired by:
- British Prime Minister Andy Burnham;
- French President Emmanuel Macron;
- German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
It is expected that during the meeting, the allies will discuss further steps to support Ukraine and strengthen international assistance.

As a reminder, in the fall of 2026, joint exercises by the Coalition of the Willing will take place in Poland for the first time. This was announced by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Members of the “Coalition of the Willing” called for a complete and immediate cessation of hostilities in Ukraine. They also agreed to increase the supply of air defense systems and reaffirmed their readiness to provide Ukraine with reliable security guarantees.
