Former Queen Margrethe of Denmark hospitalized in Copenhagen
The 86-year-old former Queen Margrethe of Denmark has been hospitalized at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. She was found to have a collection of blood in the hip area, as well as mild dehydration. YLE News reports this, citing the Danish royal court.
Treatment in Copenhagen
According to the Danish royal court, Margrethe is receiving treatment for both conditions. The court said that she is in good spirits and is doing well given the circumstances.
Due to her hospitalization, Margrethe will miss the funeral of Norway's King Harald, YLE News reported.

Previous hospitalization
In May this year, Margrethe was already in hospital because of a collection of blood in the hip area. According to the Danish royal court, this problem is a consequence of a fall.
Margrethe abdicated in January 2024 in favor of her son, Frederik X.
